Bittern hunting for anything it can find. The video is a little shaky because I had to lean over to the passenger window side of car.

sandpiper and tadpoles

The tadpoles were left high and dry in a receding pool of water. I think the sandpiper caught a fish at the end.

the "mating dance/ritual" that this "type of bird" does,is so truly "amazing",and such a "wonderous sight" to watch!❤️❤️😀😀
The buffleheads we see here torpedo into the water. I was shocked to see it happen like that
May I please use clips from this in a music video for a church service? drive.google.com/file/d/10K2YWYrt5qlrYng1HnJIXC2aJdEXQqlJ/view?usp=sharing

Love how the female tests the male with this dance-a dance of intimacy that ensures life commitment!
Extraordinary display, wonderful film, many thanks.
when do they do this during the day if I may ask?
when i saw that it was early May, and it happened in the early afternoon 2 or 3 o'clock :)
The whole time I kept saying ooooo kilem, These Grebes got moves

This video of the dancing grebes is spectacular. God is sooooo amazing in His creations !
Beautiful clip, well done... congratulations! Francisco
Thanks for posting this great slow-motion video of a bufflehead landing on water. He is quite the little water skier. Diving ducks like buffleheads, hooded mergansers, and ring necks are my absolute favorites. Female buffleheads are so tiny.
Absolutely fantastic! I tried this summer, but could not get up so close to the birds
A perfect example of how we best communicate, showing interest and empathy through matching the other's body language. These birds have more emotional intelligence than most humans.
That's the sound of the American bittern. Galumph, galumph.
what the heck was that sound that bird in the beginning was making???? Very interesting!
